Print Fundraiser ❤️🌀〰️✨💕🔺❣️
& studio updates
Hi everyone! I’m coming to your inboxes today with a request to consider purchasing a print as a part of a fundraiser I’m doing. ❤️🌀❣️🧵🔸🔺
I photographed my Grief Quiltop and have 8x10 matte prints of it for sale, with all profits going to Makers 4 Mutual Aid, a group of sewists and makers that fundraises for families in Gaza. Printing done at GirliePress in Seattle, WA. Cost is sliding scale❤️
My late grandmother made the half-square triangle quilt top, which I inherited. I added the words WHERE DOES ALL THE GRIEF GO as applique, in an attempt to get to know my personal and our shared grief.
Thank you for considering!
I’ve been settling into my new studio and, in contrast to most of my recent life, am experiencing a surge of creative energy! I’ve found myself in a frenzy of making, which signals to me I’ve started pushing past some of my creative blocks. I’ve been experimenting with color and improv-ing mostly. Finding a groove, showing up, settling in, and playing.

I’m working on a zine about improv quilting! Making this zine has been fun and reflective. It would be ideal for someone who is sewing- or quilting-curious, or maybe has some sewing knowledge but is too mystified by the quilting process to consider trying. I’m also including some writing about how improv has (as the title sooo subtley proclaims) changed my life and my approach to my creative practice.
More info to come, but I think she’ll be free at least for some time. xx
Finally watched the Marcel the Shell with Shoes On movie and was pleasantly delighted!!!
Recently tore through The Safekeep by Yael Van Der Wouden, what a trip!! Thanks, David, for the rec!
I started taking CrossFit classes… and love it… who is she?! 🏋️♀️
Neuroplasticity!!!! 🧠
Feeling love and held by my creative collaborators ❤️
Thanks all for now, thanks for being here.
